Emma Martinez is an accomplished colorguard technician, designer, choreographer, and manager with over 35 years of experience in the marching arts, including DCI, BOA & WGI. A DCI Cadets Hall of Fame inductee, she is celebrated for her hands-on approach to developing performers’ skills in flag, rifle, sabre, dance, and marching, while also creating innovative and impactful show designs. Emma was instrumental in building the Flanagan High School program from 2001-2017 and helped to established a strong identity of skill, technique and memorable productions. Emma has worked with top-tier programs such as The Cadets Drum & Bugle Corps, Boston Crusaders, Flanagan High School, and Stoneman Douglas High School, earning multiple world titles and finalist placements. Her expertise has been showcased at premier events like the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parades and the Obama Inauguration Ceremony. Known for blending artistic vision with disciplined training, she inspires performers to achieve technical mastery and deliver unforgettable performances, fostering both competitive success and a positive, team-focused culture.

Emma moved to the Austin area in Spring 2024 and has been enjoying teaching and consulting with incredible local programs such as Vista Ridge, Westlake, Liberty Hill and Legacy Ranch. Emma has her Masters Degree in Nursing and works full time at Round Rock Medical Center as an Infection Prevention Manager. She is married with 2 kids and 3 pets.
