Origins Mission Statement:

To provide an experience that enriches the lives of our performers through education, inclusion, care, and creativity.

Origins Performing Arts is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit youth performing arts organization founded in 2017 with the mission of providing performers from Central Texas and beyond an opportunity to participate in the pageantry arts at the highest levels. Since its inception, Origins has served as a home for more than 250 performers.

In 2018 and 2019, Origins produced emotionally driven and thought-provoking productions that earned the organization top-five finalist finishes in consecutive seasons. In 2020, the organization’s season was unfortunately cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic. After taking time to regroup and refocus, Origins returned in 2021 by fielding two performing ensembles for the first time in organizational history. That season, the second ensemble was promoted from Independent A to Independent Open and was recognized as a WGI Virtual Independent Open Class Finalist.

In 2022, Origins made the decision to self-promote into the Independent World classification; the highest level of competition within the activity. Once again fielding two ensembles, Origins earned its first-ever WGI Independent World Class Finalist placement. In 2023, both ensembles achieved their highest placements to date within their respective classifications.

Continuing to expand its mission and impact, Origins launched a third ensemble, Origins A, in 2024. All three ensembles earned multiple distinctions throughout the season, while the organization’s World Class ensemble achieved its highest placement since self-promoting to Independent World two years earlier, and the Open ensemble finishing 5th in the independent open classification.

Origins took an inactive season in 2025 before returning in 2026 with two ensembles: Origins World and Origins Open. The World ensemble earned a 7th-place finish in Independent World Class, while the Open ensemble captured the first bronze medal in organization history.
