  • How much do clinics cost?

    Spin clinics usually cost $30 if you pre-register, or $35 if you register on the day of the event.

    what classes are offered?

    While class offerings may vary by clinic, we typically offer beginner, intermediate, and advanced classes in movement, flag, rifle, and sabre.

    Who can sign up?

    Clinics are open to performers of all ages and abilities.

    Do I need to bring my own Equipment?

    Yes, We recommend bringing your own equipment. Origins will have some equipment present, but quantities are limited.

    What Should I wear?

    We recommend wearing form-fitting athletic clothing and tennis shoes. There are no color restrictions for the clinics.

    If I’m new to colorguard or to spinning weapon can I still attend?

    Absolutely! We offer a beginner-level class specifically for performers new to colorguard or a particular equipment.

    Do I have to spin weapon?

    No, you do not need to spin a weapon. We strive to offer a variety of classes, ensuring there's always a movement or flag class available. If there isn't a class you're interested in during a session, you can choose to take that session off.

    What if I need to come late or leave early, can I still sign up?

    Absolutely! While the clinic cost remains the same for participants who need to arrive late or leave early due to prior commitments, you're welcome to do so. Clinics are educational opportunities, and we understand that not all participants can commit to the entire day

Master Class Clinician:

Lauren Harper

(Cypress Independent / Georgia)

With nearly two decades of experience in the pageantry arts, Lauren, aka LPH, brings a deep passion for performance and a proven track record of excellence in both instruction and design. She marched four years of high school colorguard before joining the University of Georgia Flagline, where she performed for all four years and served as leadership and choreographer during her final two seasons.

After college, she moved to Atlanta and taught multiple successful high school programs, including Brookwood High School and Forsyth Central High School. During her time in Atlanta, LPH also served as Member-at-Large and Vice President of Color Guard for SAPA (Southern Association for Performance Arts), helping shape the local circuit’s growth and development. She marched with Ad Astra Per Aspera in 2005 and the renowned Phantom Regiment Winterguard in 2007. A driving force in the Southeast color guard scene, she co-founded Aureus Independent and the University of Georgia Winterguard.

In 2014, she relocated to Houston, Texas, where she returned to the floor with Cypress Independent in 2015. She went on to choreograph and instruct for Cypress from 2016–2019. Her DCI and DCA experience includes instructional and choreographic roles with Southwind, Memphis Sound, Alliance, and Phantom Regiment.

 Outside of guard, she is the Chief Operating Officer for an energy investment firm. She lives in Houston with her wife and their very spoiled collection of cats and dogs.
